President-elect Hassan I Sabbah X Kent looked out on the crowd in Chicago’s Grant Park as they waited for him to emerge and deliver his acceptance speech. America had had enough of being governed by angry, elderly white men in dark suits, or at least *somebody* thought so. The noisy (but significant) minority had used everything they could find against him, any one of which would have been sufficient to reduce his share of the vote to a level comparable to the Socialist Worker’s Party or God’s Lightening a mere eight years ago. They had scanned his background for dubious associations. Naturally, this was not too difficult when some of those dubious associations were your parents.

Hassan I Sabbah X Kent was a product of the baby boomlet that occurred more or less nine months after the legendary Ingolstadt Festival of the Arts in 1973. His father was Clark Kent of the seminal 1970s band Clark Kent and the Supermen; his mother was Rhoda Chief, lead singer of The Heads of Easter Island. Hassan often joked that his name meant “He Who Should Never Run for U.S. President.” In reality, he thanked every power in the universe that his dad had been the dominant influence in his naming rather than his mom. Imagine trying to get elected with a name like that of his half brother, Jesus Jehovah Lucifer Satan Chief. For many years, his half brother had insisted that he was Puerto Rican and that his name was “Haysoos.”

Apparently the musical genes of his parents were recessive. Hassan had desperately wanted to play the guitar as a teenager, and wasted many hours practicing with his father’s students in the Miskatonic University music department when he could have been attending to his schoolwork, or something else in which he wasn’t completely hopeless. Everyone said he was the most dedicated student they had ever taught; he just lacked one thing, the slightest iota of talent. His teachers and the Miskatonic students he had tried to jam with made gentle hints that perhaps he should look for another field of endeavor, but they went over his head. Finally, he came to the realization himself. One day when he was about sixteen, sitting on the stairs in the Charles Dexter Ward Fine Arts Center trying—and failing—to tune his instrument, the sentence formed in his head, “Perhaps this isn’t the best use of your time and talents.” It seemed to come from somewhere else, but it was clearly in his head, not in his ears.

This was not the first time he felt guided by an intelligence from outside himself. He knew better than to talk about it, of course. And he knew better than to act upon it uncritically. Hassan had gotten into the usual trouble that young people could get into in the 1970s and 80s, especially when your parents were not just hippies, but counterculture icons. Many times he could have gone too far and done something that would have disqualified him from running for Superintendent of the Chicago Water Department, much less president. But there was always that presence guiding his decisions and keeping him from getting into too much trouble. Was it God? Was it his Higher Self? Was it just his own prudence? He didn’t know and he didn’t care. He knew he wasn’t schizophrenic, because then he wouldn’t be able to maintain his objectivity. Sometimes he wondered if he wasn’t something like the shamans his mother told him about. But fortunately, he didn’t have visions of being torn apart by birds, and other such bizarre phenomena. Nor had he been told, like the last president, that he had been chosen to lead the Righteous Americans in a Holy War to Destroy Evil, and if he ever were, he would seek therapy and medication.

President Jose Tequila y Mota of the Socialist Republic of Fernando Poo struck a pose in front of the mirror in his suite in the Hyatt Central Park West. The face that looked back at him was middle aged, with a few wrinkles beginning to creep in around his eyes. It was a handsome face, verging toward what people called distinguished. His mistress Pilar de Brujeria—younger than him by over a quarter century—kept nagging him to shave his mustache. Only dictators and washed up 1970s porn stars wore mustaches anymore, she said. He responded, “Dictators, 1970s porn stars, and me.” True, some columnists and pundits in the world (meaning mostly American) press noted the alleged resemblance to Saddam Hussein, and in a strange way it seemed to energize them in their efforts to make him the face of Evil and Anti-American Mischief. However, he hadn’t gotten where he had by consulting focus groups about his appearance. He did what he did, and it was up to the rest of the world to keep up. And if they wouldn’t or couldn’t, too bad for them. Only once had he been persuaded to shave off his mustache. That was after his nearly miraculous escape from the firing squad when his 1973 coup failed, betrayed by Yankee Infiltrators in his inner circle. His mustache was so distinctive that without it, he was able to book a flight to Algeria from the Fernando Poo International Airport. Security forces scanned every face and randomly searched anyone who looked the slightest bit suspicious, never recognizing the Generalissimo, as he called himself then. But once he was safe in Algiers, he promptly grew back his facial hair. He remembered what his father said: “A man is not a man if he has no wife, no horse, and no mustache.” He didn’t have a wife yet, although he had no shortage of women who’d be glad for the opportunity. Every day brought sacks of mail from admirers of every kind. Horses were an anachronism, but he had the Yamaha that a wealthy left-wing Japanese heiress had given him. And, by God, he definitely had the mustache.

Nearly 30 years after his abortive coup, Jose sat in an internet café in Capetown, South Africa. He logged into his Yahoo! email account, and saw the heading of the newest email, “Your Assistance is Required in a Small Matter.” His cursor lingered over the delete button, but he decided to open it. Sometimes these scams were amusing, and he wasn’t in a hurry. When he opened it, he recognized the message as the code he and his fellow conspirators in the 1973 coup used to indicate readiness for action. Was it just an effort by the secret police to get him back to Fernando Poo to complete the job they’d bungled? As far as the world was concerned, he was dead. The government of Fernando Poo was not eager to advertise its failures, and the governments of Algeria and later South Africa had granted him asylum only on the condition that he keep his head down. Only a few old comrades from the army and the Fernando Poo Separatist Movement were aware of his continued existence. Ultimately, Jose decided he didn’t care. He scraped together what funds he had and purchased a ticket to Fernando Poo under the alias he habitually used, Jose Cuervo de Frio. This time, he didn’t shave his mustache, and it didn’t seem to matter. Like most places in the third world, the population of Fernando Poo was overwhelmingly young, and most people didn’t remember him. Those who could remember couldn’t be bothered. Or so he thought. Once on the plane (Lufthansa), he estimated that the flight should take several hours, with a stop over in Lagos, Nigeria. Too nervous to pay attention to the in flight movie, which he had seen anyway, he took one of the strong tranquilizers that were sold over the counter in Capetown and drifted off to sleep.

He was awakened by a sharp bump. He looked around, and he realized that they had landed on the tarmac in what he recognized as Fernando Poo, pretty much the same all these years later. In the distance were the spires of the Cathedral of St. Toad. And crowds. Jubilant crowds, bearing large posters and banners with his face on them, and signs saying “Bienvenidos Presidente Tequila y Mota.”

Illuminatus! (1975 Dell edition) cover artist Carlos Victor

aloha tribe! I've just positively identified the cover artist of the original 1975 Dell Paperback editions of the three Illuminatus! books. Do you remember the cloaked figure with a single eye, and rays shining down on a submarine (vol 1) and a discordian couple (vol 2), and a big tentacled leviathan (vol 3)?

the artist is none other than Carlos Ochagavia! Just thought you might be curious to know. If anybody is one of the editors of the Wikipedia page on Illuminatus! you might want to add something about that, because everyone is led to believe that Carlos Victor is a mysterious painter who only did those covers, then vanished forever! In fact, it was Carlos Victor Ochagavia (I've confirmed with his family that was his full name), who lived to a ripe old age of more than 90.

Right now there are two competing signature drives to put Cannabis legalization initiatives on the ballot in California in

November 2010.

Please look carefully at the text of both laws (the text of each is finalized) and make up your own mind which one you support.

I am supporting www.CaliforniaCannabisInitiative.org because our law will protect Cannabis users from discrimination in

healthcare, employment, and housing. It is a full legalization measure for industrial hemp and recreational cannabis which will restore full human rights to Hemp farmers and Cannabis users all across California. Of course supplying Cannabis to children will remain illegal just as it is today. Driving vehicles under the influence will remain illegal just as it is today. Cannabis users will still be fired from their jobs if they show up to work impaired.

There are two parts to our plan. The first part is to publicly post and personally distribute our "Freedom Lover's Call to Arms" in order to recruit volunteers. This document is available here-

The second part of our plan is to ask everyone who volunteers to make a pledge for how many signatures they can collect in

the next 30 days or so. 15-30 signatures is a good number. If enough volunteers show this level of commitment we can succeed. We will have to proudly advocate human rights for responsible, honest, hard-working Cannabis smokers in order to convince legitimate people to support us. We are polling 56% public support for Cannabis legalization in California which menas that this is an initiative which is not doomed. Its time has finally arrived; we are at the tipping point right now. Now is the time to do this and to do it right. We may only get one chance. If a law which is not exactly what we want is implemented then we may lose our critical mass and our ability to set it right.

I believe that less adults will smoke cannabis after it is legal. This is the case in the Netherlands where it has been

available over-the-counter for 30 years yet only half as many citizens (percentage-wise) smoke as do citizens here. My economics professor has taught for years that prohibition has not succeeded in decreasing usage by increasing penalties. Instead it has destroyed lives and families without substantial benefit to society. After legalization hard-drug usage will decrease due to a "separation of the markets," a decline in the price of Cannabis relative to hard-drugs, and the restoration of honesty and common sense in drug education. Violence, thievery, and the incarceration of honest people will decrease as well. I also believe that a well regulated market will decrease the availability and appeal of cannabis to children. In fact teenage Cannabis use in California has fallen steadily since the passage of Proposition 215. Furthermore the adults who smoke Cannabis after legalization will be better able appreciate the majesty of nature in peace and unity without learning to fear and disrespect authority figures. This will be better for their spirits and better for society. Finally the human rights of legitimate medical Cannabis patients will be better protected than they are today. Legalizing Cannabis will create a safer, healthier, and more humane California for us all to live in.

Erotic cults such as the Vāma-Kālī sect of Tantra, the Carpocratians, Black Madonna, Catholic cults devoted to the Magdalene and Virgin, worshippers of Lilith uncover the most carnal dimensions of ritualized sex. Mankind condemns Lilith by trying to define Her. She is damned and worshipped in print and song. The Legend of Lilith evolves from diverse religious and cultural memes. We first encounter the Lilith mythos in the Alphabet of Ben Sira, the Zohar, and in the Epic of Gilgamesh. Lilith is a primal effigy in ancient religion, and experiences evolutions from archaic goddess to colourless ghost and desert terror.

In the philosophy of the Hebrew Qabalah, Lilith corresponds to the daemon of Malchut in the Qlifot {the World of Shells, or husks). Pertaining to Qabalah every world is a husk of the world above and below. The Qlifot are shells of the dead worlds, and by conquering the fear of the Mystery of Death, the Initiate attains to the Vision of the Wrathful Maiden. Lilith is the arcane archetype of sexual dominance and the fear of Death, the archetypal primacy of Lilith annihilates litanies of inhibitions in the human psyche. Etymological origins of Lilith independent of Jehovian-Semitic templates point to the Sumero-Babylonian Lilû, which translates to ‘a demon equivalent to a male vampire.’ Derived from Sumerian, Lila refers to ‘wind,’ or ‘storm.’ Opting for an Akkadian translation, I suggest Lalu, also Lulu as ‘lecherous,’ and ‘wandering.’

From the Akkadian Lilitû and her Sumero-Babylonian compliments, Ardat-Lili, Idlu-Lili, and Lamaştû, derives the Semitic LYLYT {Lilith}. The Lilitû primarily feasted upon women and children, referred to by the terrified inhabitants of Ur and Babylon as night-ghosts that roamed the deserts away from populace. Pictographs from 800 B.C. to 500 B.C. Babylonia depict “Lilith” in the company of snakes and other abominable animals, keeping with themes of her malevolence in Babylonian pottery, Persian and Jewish amulets and in the Qumran scrolls. The night-ghosts here evolved into the Jehovian mythopoeia seeping into the Christian paradigms of diabolatry. Isaiah 34; xiv in the Vulgate refers to “he-goats,” “hairy monsters,” again carried over from Judaic paradigm. The Vulgate reads; “Et occurrent daemonia onocentauris, et pilosus clamabit alter ad alterum; ibi cubauit lamia, et inuenit sibi requiem.” Isaiah 34; xiv-xv refers to Lilith as the ‘Screech Owl.’ The Serpent in the form of Lilith initiated Mankind, the true Beast with seduction and dark eroticism by providing the forbidden fruit of death to Eve, her female concubine. In her secret initiations with Eve, appearing to Her as a Serpent, Lilith took up the cloak of the primal seductress. Through Eve, Lilith taught Mankind forbidden paths of the Black and Red Serpent ~ of Lust and Love.

The Rite of Lilith is a Tantric and magical ceremony of Chthonic working, as the true archetype of Lilith is sex and death. Lilith is embodied by metaphysical and mystical origins of diverse ancient cultures. Adored and feared by mortals as the Sumerian Lilitu {also the Hand of Inanna}, Babylonian Lamashtû {Daughter of Anu}, Akkadian Ardat-lili, the Hellenistic Hecate, or the Hindu Kali, it is black Lilith whom enshrouds over our eyes the Veil of Death. She is the personification of the Scarlet Woman. Those who transcend psychosexual modes of deviance, and overcome religious memes will breed new paradigms, and a new race, a new psychology, a new code of genetics completely unknown to contemporary Man. Her womb produces only those whose veins retain Her Imperial blood…and hidden words. Man trembles at the thought of the Scarlet Woman as sexual rival. A true initiated Brother sees the Scarlet Woman with Heaven’s eye of blood.

Lilith, in all her mythic emulations, and cultural prototypes, is not here to ‘prune’ the sexual mania of Man. She is here to harvest it! In the seeds of sperm and ovum, the psychosexual and cultural lineage of Lilith retains Imperial Blood. The curse of Ophelia will be known to all Mankind. The Rite of Lilith presents to the reader a device to prospect unexplored, uncharted psychological and religious memes of the Goddess dominant. Lilith’s Rite is a chthonic reenactment of Sumerian and Akkadian mythos, designed to embed in the psyche memes equal to patrilineal religious pantheons, with the sacred feminine as Initiator and Fiat of Mankind’s “salvation.”

The Apocryphal Gospel of Phillip states, “If anyone becomes a child of the Bridal Chamber, he will receive the light. If anyone does not receive it while he is in these places, he will not be able to receive it in the other place. He who will receive the light cannot be seen, nor can he be held. And none can torment him while he dwells in the world. And furthermore, when he goes out of the world, already he has received the truth in images. The word has become the æon, for the æon has become for him the fullness. It is thus; it is revealed only to him. It is not hidden in the darkness and the night, but it is hidden in a perfect day and a holy light.”

{Gospel of Phillip 127}. The psychosexual prototypes and cultural memes of Lilith represent the Chapel Perilous {of the Grail Legend}, the darkness of the womb from whence Man physically and metaphysically emerges. Lilith is the “perfect day and holy light” hidden within the Nightside of Eden, the “darkness and the night” of the bridal chamber. To enter the holy bridal chamber, one must first pass through the nightside brothels of Lilith and Her kin.

Lilith’s Rite functions as an ingress of psychosexual archetypes imbued within Mankind’s consciousness and genetics since the dawn of religion. Religion is latent within the human genetic code. As the initiate progresses through the monologues of the Rite of Lilith, interpolation of archetypes of Lilith emulated throughout the history of ancient cultures {such as Sumerian, Babylonian, and Mesopotamian} occurs within the initiate’s consciousness. The ritualist primes the psyche for an atavistic resurgence of psychosexual prototypes. In essence the Rite of Lilith functions as an atavistic indwelling of Lilith. Equally, the lunar archetype worshipped by the ancients is a gnosis explored by initiating into the dreaming nightside of Lilith/Lilitu. The Rite represents the embrace of instinct, uniting will with causal affect.

The ritualist seeks Lilith through the wilderness and desert isolation, in the caves of primeval darkness and the burial tombs of those dead but dreaming, her forbidden fruits and hidden words are invoked into the ritual garden. The Elder Gods which have traversed the earth since time immemorial, even heed the wisdom of Lilith, for She retains the unbroken darkness of the Abyss and therein its secrets and infinite possibilities. Her reputation has taken on the epitome of the “dark side” of the sacred feminine. The usual precedent when a new religion supplants pagan animism or polytheism, is to invert the previous religion’s deities into antinomian “demons” as that side of their psyche becomes obscured.

While Lilitu has its etymological origins in ancient languages of the Arab world, the name Laylá comes from the word layl meaning “night.” Recall that Lilitu is associated with a night-ghost who roamed desolate places such as the desert. Night represents the Unmanifest. In the Arabian deserts, the night is a reality without boundaries: forms are dissolved, no sand dunes or camels or anything else visible, all is formless, nothing but darkness. This is direct symbolism of the unmanifested aspect of the Divine Nature, God as Unmanifest. Blackness absorbs all light, thus Lilith represents the unmanifest nature of reality, the unmanifest psyche hidden in the blackest depths of Man’s mind.

There are echoes that bear throughout the World’s shadows tales of times remote; tales, who carry the remnants of books long turned to dust, tales, which whisper cryptically of Eve and the Serpent. There are, born in each generation, Men and Women whom awake to memories and ordained knowledge told to them in nightmares. The echoes of Lilith’s hidden words and Her tales are gathered once more before the eyes of lost souls who speak the language of insanity and carnal Lust. Lost ‘mid Truth and Lie, there is a Secret that has no telling: we foreswear all oaths all sacraments to other Gods and Goddesses in Lilith’s name. Her Path is written in blood, blood fresh fallen from her womb, fallen to the opened hearts of mad crones and wrathful maidens, abused women, and downtrodden Brothers of the Holy Grail and the Red Serpent who look beyond both themselves and the Stars in heaven. With Lilith, that which is seen is not that which should be sought.

I Time

Lilith’s Rite must only be performed on the eve’ of the New Moon, or on Samhain {Halloween} night. Never at any other time. The Rite lasts three full days and nights.

II Preliminaries

Purification and consecration: Fast sunrise to sunset seven days and nights prior to Rite. Abstain from any and all sexual activity one full lunar cycle {about 29-30 days} prior to Rite, this is of the utmost importance to the Rite. Keep silent and do not speak one full day and night prior to Rite. Bath ritually at sunset and fast completely one full day prior to Rite.

this is a short film i made in san francisco with spoken word/performance artist Chris Sia and Eugene Steele. It started out with Chris reading a list of all of these wartorn places in his van at Burning Man last year, and then he asked me to help him make a video, so we dug out a ton of samples and went to town.

our crew is A.P.T. (armageddon prevention team) and Kontrabrand is top secret, but suffice to say, you'll hear about it in the near future if you follow what i do at all.

The Bat Creek Stone

Cherokee or Hebrew?
The Bat Creek Stone was professionally excavated in 1889 from an undisturbed burial mound in Eastern Tennessee by the Smithsonian's Mound Survey project. The director of the project, Cyrus Thomas, initially declared that the curious inscription on the stone were "beyond question letters of the Cherokee alphabet." (Thomas 1894: 391:4)

In the 1960s, Henriette Mertz and Corey Ayoob both noticed that the inscription, when inverted from Thomas's orientation to that of the above photograph, instead appeared to be ancient Semitic. The late Semitic languages scholar Cyrus Gordon (1971) confirmed that it is Semitic, and specifically Paleo-Hebrew of approximately the first or second century A.D. According to him, the five letters to the left of the comma-shaped word divider read, from right to left, LYHWD, or "for Judea." He noted that the broken letter on the far left is consistent with mem, in which case this word would instead read LYHWD[M], or "for the Judeans."

Hebrew scholar and archaeologist Robert Stieglitz (1976) confirmed Gordon's reading of the longer word, and identifed the second letter of the shorter word as a qoph. Mertz (1964) herself had first proposed that the first letter is a (reversed) resh. The main line would then read RQ , LYHWD[M], i.e. "Only for Judea," or "Only for the Judeans" if the broken letter is included.

In Paleo-Hebrew, words are required to be separated by a dot or short diagonal stroke serving as a word divider, rather than by a space as in English or modern Hebrew. The short diagonal word divider used on the Bat Creek inscription is less common than the dot, but appears both in the Siloam inscription and the Qumran Paleo-Hebrew Leviticus scroll.

In 1988, wood fragments found with the inscription were Carbon-14 dated to somewhere between 32 A.D. and 769 A.D.(McCulloch 1988). This range is consistent with Gordon's dating of the letters.

In McCulloch (1988) I note that although a few of the letters could be taken for Cherokee in either orientation, and although several of the letters are not perfect as Paleo-Hebrew, the inscription matches Hebrew much better than Cherokee. As English, for example, the main line could be forced to read "4SENL , YP" (sic) in the Mertz/Gordon orientation, or "dh ' 7NESb" in Thomas's orientation. The match to Cherokee is no better than to English, and no one has ever proposed a Cherokee reading of the inscription.

The lone letter below the main line is problematic, but could conceivably be either an aleph or a waw, in which case it might be a numeral indicating Year 1 or 6, respectively, of some era. The two vertical strokes above the main line are test scratches made by an unknown party while the stone was at the Smithsonian, sometime between 1894 and 1971.

Surely Hebrew, but Masonic?
American archaeologists Robert C. Mainfort, Jr., and Mary L. Kwas have recently argued in American Antiquity (2004) that the inscription was copied from an illustration in an 1870 Masonic reference book, and is therefore clearly a nineteenth century forgery that must have been introduced by the Smithsonian field assistant who found it. The entry in question, an 1860s artist's impression of how the Biblical phrase QDSh LYHWH, or "Holy to Yahweh," would have looked in Paleo-Hebrew letters, is reproduced below:

Both inscriptions do contain two words, with the identical string LYHW- beginning the longer second word in both cases. However, the fifth letter of the second word is clearly different in the two cases. The Bat Creek word ends with a daleth, which also happens to be the second letter of the first word in the Masonic illustration, making the Bat Creek word "for Judea." The Masonic word ends with a second he, which makes it "for Yahweh" instead. The Bat Creek word also has the remnant of a sixth letter, presumably mem, that is completely absent from Macoy's illustration.

In fact it is not surprising that two Hebrew inscriptions would both contain the string LYHW-. The common prefix L- simply forms the dative case, indicating for, to, or belonging to the word that follows. The string YHW-, or Yahu-, the first three letters of the name YHWH or Yahweh of the Hebrew God, is a common theophoric component of Hebrew names. Judah or Yehud (YHWD in the Persian era, according to Gordon) is one such "Yahwist" name. A modern example of such a name is that of Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of Israel from 1996-1999.

The January/February 2006 Biblical Archaeology Review happens to contain a photograph of a bulla (seal impression) that was recently excavated from Jersualem's City of David under the supervision of Hebrew University archaeologist Eilat Mazar. The inscription, in Old Hebrew letters closely related to those in the Macoy illustration, begins with the Masonic string LYHW- in the word LYHWKL, or "belonging to Yehucal" (Mazar 2006: 26). The second line actually contains the tell-tale string -YHW again, in the name of Yehucal's father, ShLMYHW or Shelemiyahu. However, the presence of the string LYHW- on both the Yehucal bulla and the Masonic illustration does not prove that the Mazar assistant who supposedly found the new bulla cribbed it from Macoy's book, but merely that this is a common component of Hebrew inscriptions. Likewise, the presence of this string on Bat Creek does not require it to have been copied from Macoy.

The shorter first words of the Bat Creek and Masonic inscriptions are also clearly different, the Bat Creek word having two letters and the Masonic word three. The distinctive W-like shin of the Biblical QDSh (Qedosh) is entirely missing on Bat Creek. The first letters of the two words do have essentially the same form, but are in fact different: In Macoy's illustration, this is clearly meant to be a qoph, but as such is not well made, since in Paleo-Hebrew it should have, in addition to a loop on the right, an arm to the left with an uptick at the end. This arm in fact appears on the second Bat Creek letter, which was consequently identified by Stieglitz as a qoph. Since this alternate form of Q is already present on Bat Creek, the first letter must be something different, and makes most sense as an inverted (rho-wise) resh, as originally proposed by Mertz. The second letter (D) on the Masonic inscription does look a little like the second letter (Q) on Bat Creek, but in fact there is already a D on Bat Creek, at the end of the second word, that looks nothing like the second Bat Creek letter. These are therefore different letters as well.

However, the most telling difference between the Bat Creek and Masonic inscriptions is in the different ways the two words are separated. Macoy's illustrator, who was undoubtedly working from a newly-available dictionary chart of Jewish War coinscript letters to transcribe standard Square Hebrew into the older alphabet, erroneously assumed that the words should be separated by a space, as in English or modern Hebrew. Bat Creek instead correctly uses a word divider. There is no way this subtle detail could have been copied from Macoy's illustration, even if the copyist threw in a few random changes to disguise his or her source.

If nothing else, the Masonic illustration newly discovered by Mainfort and Kwas does show that Bat Creek has an undeniable affinity to Paleo-Hebrew, and that this affinity should have been recognized already in 1889 by any competent student of antiquities. The fact that Thomas and subsequent American archaeologists failed to see this affinity until it was pointed out by Mertz, Ayoob and Gordon demonstrates their incompetence to adequately classify and evaluate ancient material. It does not, however, reflect on the Mound Survey's data-collecting abilities per se.

My reply to the new Mainfort and Kwas article, enumerating these and other considerations, was summarily rejected by American Antiquity as being "far outside the expertise and interests of the readership." It has nevertheless been accepted for publication in Pre-Columbiana, and a PDF of the draft is online at http://www.econ.ohio-state.edu/jhm/arch/AmerAntiq.pdf.

Or is it Welsh Coelbren?
In 2002, researchers Alan Wilson, Baram A. Blackett, and Jim Michael announced that the Bat Creek stone is in fact inscribed with the the ancient Welsh Coelbren alphabet, and reads, in Welsh, "Madoc the ruler he is." These authors identify the Bat Creek tumulus as "the likely tomb of Prince Madoc" (Wilson et al. 2002).

Madoc was a Welsh prince who is reputed to have sailed to America in 1170 A.D. (see, e.g. Kimberley (2000)). However, Wilson et al. maintain that he was in fact a brother of King Arthur II, and sailed in 562 A.D. This would reconcile their reading of the inscription with the C-14 date of 32 A.D. - 769 A.D.

Wilson et al. give no reference for what they regard as an authoritative source for the Coelbren alphabet, and give no indication as to how they read the letters on the Bat Creek stone in this alphabet, or what Welsh words they find there. A Coelbren alphabet is provided online by Serenwen (undated). However, I see no obvious relation of the Serenwen alphabet to the Bat Creek letters.

A further complication is that it is widely believed, even among Celtic enthusiasts, (e.g. Jones 2004) that Coelbren itself is the modern invention of Edward Williams (1747-1826), known also as Iolo Morgannwg.

Although Gordon's Paleo-Hebrew reading of the Bat Creek inscription works much better than Thomas's original Cherokee interpretation, the fit as Hebrew is by no means perfect (McCarter 1993). If it could be shown to work even better as Coelbren, or any other alphabet, the Hebrew reading would have to be abandoned. Furthermore, if the Bat Creek stone, which was professionally excavated and whose context been carbon-dated to ancient times, were clearly engraved in Coelbren letters, that would itself be sufficient to vindicate the authenticity of Coelbren and to exonerate Morgannwg. However, until Wilson et al. publish the details of their claim, there is no basis for either of these conclusions.

Where it's at.
The Bat Creek stone long lay out of sight in a back room of the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., but currently it is on indefinite loan to the McClung Museum of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where it is prominently on display.

The findspot was about 40 miles south of Knoxville, in what is now a TVA recreational area on the shore of Lake Telico at the mouth of Bat Creek. The mound itself has been plowed flat, and only its approximate location is known.

Perhaps the TVA could be prevailed upon to mark a path from old highway 72 to the approximate site, possibly making a complete loop around High Top, with a spur trail to the summit. A picnic table and a small sign at the approximate site of the mound would make an appropriate memorial for the find, as well as a pleasant destination for hikers and boaters.

Even more ambitiously, the mound and its vegetation could be reconstructed at a plausible spot. Bat Creek Mound #3, with the inscription and 9 burials, was "of small size, measuring but 28 feet in diameter and 5 feet in height," according to the offical report. Rebuilding it would require only about 38 cubic yards of earth. The mound had some large sassafras trees standing on it when it was exacavated. The owner stated that he had cut trees from the mound 40 years before the excavation and that it "had been covered by a cluster of trees and grapevines as long ago as the oldest settler in the locality could recollect. At the time the excavation was made there was an old rotten stump yet on the top, the roots of which ran down to the skeletons." A 3-foot black oak tree still stood on nearby Bat Creek Mound #2 at the time of excavation, so it is not unlikely that Mound #3's trees were of the same type. A cluster of black oak and sassafras trees, along with some grape vines, planted on the rebuilt mound, would therefore provide an authentic reconstruction of the 19th century setting, as well as shade for picnickers.

It's like KallistiCon, only sadder: the weekend traditionally known as "President's Day Weekend" this February (16-19) will host at least three Robert Anton Wilson memorial events in the San Francisco bay area, not to mention several other Discordian events.

That weekend also hosts PantheaCon, a huge neo-Pagan convention in San Jose, CA. This convention has long celebrated Discordianism with rituals and presentations, and is where I will be spending much of my weekend.

The memorials:

Monday afternoon sometime is the PantheaCon RAW memorial run by the PantheaCon staff. Robert Anton Wilson came to speak at PantheaCon for several years in a row. This is where I gave him a Saint certificate in 1999, and also where I met a friend who has been instrumental in the PantheaCon rituals since the beginning. These are people who knew Bob, who had worked with him and talked with him many times, and I hope everyone who can make it out this weekend can make it to their memorial service too.

The weekend also promises other Discordian events including a Discordian time travel ritual done by a good friend of mine on Sunday night at PantheaCon, and a reprise of the presentation that Fox and I did recently in Berlin on Discordianism & Culture Jamming (also Monday afternoon).

EXAMINING THE BIBLICAL EVIDENCE THAT BUSH IS ANTICHRIST

[Part 1 of 3]

Regarding “The End of Time” the Bible states:
"There will be signs in the heavens" (sky),
= the vast number of saucer-sightings since the 1st atomic test at Los Alamos New Mexico.
Also stating that ;
"There will be signs on earth" ...
= the many complex crop circles which incorporate sacred geometry.

The Bible also makes reference to the rebirth of the State of Israel [metaphorically “the FIG tree” in biblical lingo] as a key-sign of the end of time, saying "The fig tree will put forth its branch" (Luke 21:29), and also that "One head of the beast came back to life from the dead" … again presumably The State of Israel which was revived from the dead in 1948 … was an integral part of the Roman Empire ... referred to in the Bible as "The Beast" … and it’s current re-incarnation.

Also an important signal is the prophesy of "Wormwood" -(Revelation 8:11) the word Wormwood is "Chernobyl" in Russian … a Nuclear Facility depicted as a Fallen Star in metaphorical language (parables), stars = radioactive body … as are reactors. Wormwood is an ancient medicinal herb (Artemisia Absinthium) which has been used for thousands of years to kill internal parasites and to make a liquor called Absinth, and is known around the world by several names, but is Chernobyl in Russian.

Revelation 21:1 speaks of a “New Heaven” and a “New Earth” ... and a "New JerUSAlem". Since it’s discovery America has been referred to as “The New World” and it is a land which pursues the exploration of space (the “New Heaven”).
America fits the description of the "Promised Land" at least as well as Palestine (America being the worlds #1 producer of Milk ... the Biblical Promised Land of abundance in Exodus 31:20 "flows with milk and honey.
America was the “Land of Promise” ... because it offered religious freedom to so many persecuted religious groups in Europe ... they migrated to "The Promised Land" that’s how Caucasians got here.

So wouldn’t then the "New JerUSAlem" be the power center of the New World (as is Washington DC) ? And wouldn’t this New JerUSAlem be the place where the antichrist sets up his throne ?
TIME
It is possible that the world is much farther ahead in prophesy (1000 yrs.) than people are willing to accept having been conditioned and pre-programmed by intense institutional doctrine. They say that Anti-Christ must first set up his throne in Jerusalem. And the antichrist identity be revealed before God’s reign on earth begins (2nd Thessalonians 2:1-3).

I was asked "If this is true then what about the bible
script which says that Christ will come on his white horse with all the armies of heaven and slay the wicked, and every eye will see him"
I realized that one such bible prophesy was possibly fulfilled in the days of the crusades when the Christians took back Jerusalem, Revelation 14:20 says "The blood will run as high as the horses bridal". This event became documented history when forces led by the Knights Templar slaughtered Moslems to an extent which caused their horses to wade through rivers of blood 3 feet deep. This event is unlikely to ever happen again. I am not suggesting that Moslems are evil either, only acknowledging the reality that they and Christians have been adversaries to each other since their origins, battling over control of Jerusalem.
To Christians Moslems are antichrist to Moslems Christians are the infidels. Actually to historians they are "half-brothers" locked in a sibling rivalry.

IS GEORGE BUSH “THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST” ?
In the Bible it becomes clear that the "Image of the beast" is "THE EVIL ONE" (Rev. 20:10 with 13:15) the "False Prophet" (Pope) and "The Beast" take second lead. He is the “son” of perdition. In Genesis it states that God made his sons in his "image" ... (like father like son). Therefore should we ask ... could the "image" of the beast be someone’s son ... made in the image of their father (like father like son)? The “image of the beast was given a mouth (to speak for his father) Project Disclosure (http://www.projectdisclosure.org) reveals that George Bush senior denied access of Extraterrestrial Info to President Carter when he was director of the CIA. As long as people are focused on war visitation from heaven becomes obscured to the masses.

In Canada a post 9-11 CBC documentary implicated the White House and Saudi Royals in the execution of the World Trade Center Disaster, it also stated that Prescott Bush financed the Nazis ... and most profound of all … that the Bush family claims to be descended from Jesus Christ. There are books extrapolated from Egyptian scrolls including "Holy Blood Holy Grail" and "The DaVinci Codes" which state that Jesus had offspring through Magdalene. The implication of this is that George Junior claims to be the Son of God on God’s throne, executing God’s will in Washington DC. (The “NEW” Jerusalem.
A much more explicit film by blackcat@resist.ca documents about 80 pieces of evidence regarding Bush’s involvement in the 911 attack, including a bomb attached to the nose of the aircraft, the aircraft has no windows (both are clear from video footage), one of George Bush’s brothers is in charge of security at the Trade Center before the attack, the building is evacuated 2 days before attack to make wiring renovations, when it blows up the explosion is consistent with expert demolition collapse. There is too much more to include here.

Institutional Churches say that Christ will reign on earth for 1000 years, but the Bible (2 Peter 3:7 – 13) says that “1000 years is as a day and a day is as a thousand years”, so attempting to put an absolute interpretation on a story clearly written in metaphorical language is presumptuous to say the least. Should we expect the reign of Christ (also called "The Day of the
Lord) to last more than one day? Also Rev. 20:5. states that “The Dead” won’t reincarnate until the 1000 years are finished ... so there will be many people on earth who will be unaware that those thousand years ever happened and that the end has come.

Some say that the New Corporate Government wants to implement the use of micro-chip-implants on the population, but a facsimile has been in use since 1936. Reagan, Bush, and The Pope :
In 1983 when Ronald Wilson Reagan (whose name is 666 as was his address on Bellaire Ave CA) was president there was a group of Jesuit Priests who defected from the Vatican and came to L.A. publicly denouncing Reagan and Pope Jean Paul 2nd. as being the antichrist … together Reagan and The Pope worked hard with Margaret Thatcher to bring down the communist rule in the Soviet Union, one conspiracy theorist went so far as to say that the Chernobyl Nuclear Facility meltdown in April of 1986 was CIA sabotage, as this was the single most damaging event to the Soviets, being unable to cope with the disaster they had to open their borders to external help from foreign nations, the “Iron Curtain” had fallen!
That being unproven, there were several other phenomena which began during Reagan’s reign, including the advent of the AIDS epidemic. TLC’s “Evolution” documentary series revealed that HIV is a “race selective” disease as 11% of all Caucasians have an immunity to this virus, to which Asians and Negros have none, making it an excellent bio-weapon in the eyes of white military planners. It is therefore possible that Reagan started a global-bio-war in 1980.
Also there was the event of Korean Air Lines "Flight 007" on August 29, 1988 which Time magazine reported was redirected by the CIA from Alaska to fly over restricted Soviet military bases and was shot down while transmitting the data to a US spy plane outside Soviet air-space, 180 civilian lives were sacrificed for this information.
If Bush was involved in the World Trade Centre attack then he and Reagan have this in common … killing their own civilians to achieve hidden military agendas. Reagan also sold arms to Iran, one of America’s sworn enemies, and he was suspect in the mysterious death of the CIA director William Casey who died of “unknown causes” 2 days before he could testify at the Iran/Contra Congressional hearings involving Richard Secord and Oliver North, Reagan then conveniently got Alzheimer’s after leaving the presidency so as to be unavailable to answer any legal questions regarding a litany of suspicious events during his reign, including THE WEAPONIZATION OF SPACE (heaven), which Reagan called the “Star Wars” initiative.

When George Bush senior became Reagan’s vice president many were appalled that American political leaders were coming directly from the CIA. George Bush senior was later implicated in the importation of Cocaine from Latin America and the trade of weapons for drugs. Reagan and Pope Jean Paul 2nd. worked together to sabotage communism in the Soviet Union there was criticism that the church was in bed with government, also we should note that Jesus instated communism himself (Acts 2:44-45, 4:32-36, Is. 29:19, Luke 3:11) long before Marx or Lenin. Now that George Bush Jr. is president there is criticism that the Banking-Oil-Cartel / Military Industrial-complex and the Government are all in co-operation together, as they always have been but so “out-of-the-closet”.

Iraq War

Daniel says when they say “Peace” know that the end has come.

I have been told by a religious historian that the first Popes wore a hat with Latin letters on it, and that in Latin every letter has a numerical value, and that the numerical sum of the Pope’s letters is 666.
Interestingly President Reagan and Pope Jean-Paul were both shot in the same anatomical place, being the left lung, 2 inches away from the heart.
Reagan was shot on March 30, 1981. The pope being shot May 13th 1981, 65 years after the Prophesies of Fatima, one of which was the assassination attempt on Jean Paul and another allegedly (and conveniently) was the necessity to extinguish communism in the old Soviet Union. The author does not present any of this as fact and is aware that attempting to “externalize” evil and project it onto an “antichrist” may only be a diversion from seeing their own similar characteristics.

Anyone been listening to /watching Bill Clinton lately? Hasn't been himself lately in my opinion. After years of knowing someone, recognizing their patterns and generally getting a hold of their personality, one can tell when somethinmg is amiss. To me, it seems, the invisibles are there directing things a bit. Catching a TV spot speech, my memory gets shocked and I remember previous speeches by both the Bush moguls and and former leaders. Its concerning how similar Clinton's remarks are and how he seems nervous-numb-manchurianish at times. Being bullied to say. I see the ______ hiding behind the media "reality, " you do to. Analyze a little more, compare. Shiver.

There are thousands of good people who could potentially lose their lives very soon.

Since the release of the information on the Sujiatun concentration camp in China, which is reported to do live organ harvesting on Falun Gong practicioners. More people have been stepping forward to reveal information. Recently, a veteran military doctor in the region of Shenyang said that the Sujiatun Concentration camp is just one of 36 such camps. Another camp in Jilin Province referred to as 672-S is said to hold over 120,000 people.

According to the Integrated Committee's announcement, transplant hospitals in China are now telling patients to "come in quickly" to get transplants. Patients are told that matching organs can be found at this time in as short as one or two days. The hospitals are also reported to say that, "it will be difficult after this batch of organs is used up."

We fear that there is going to be a mass execution to “hide the evidence” and get rid of witnesses. PLEASE HELP us, Falun Gong practitioners around the world are requesting an international investigation while there is still time.

I have never seen any indication that Masons are involved in an overall conspiracy, even after I read the Illuminatus Trilogy and actively looked for suspicious behavior.

I was a Job's Daughter. I was an Eastern Star. Clearly I am a woman so I can't be a Mason. It is possible that my father kept some secretive stuff of interest from me, but I really doubt there was secretive stuff that was very interesting.

Outside of what is written in the Illuminatus, what proof have you seen that these guys are up to no good?

So now in the world we have a growing hatred for USA, the “Land of the Free”.

We are being subject to a lot of psychic abuse and hatred being directed towards us as a whole. But we forget that those people that are in political power right now are very PRO-EUROPEAN. It is not fair to the majority of us who really believe in the “Land of the Free”, when everywhere else has been destroyed and conquered/influences by the Europeans. CROWN LAND. Does the Queen still really own us all?

The Royal family in England, and the Roman Papal hierarchy. What is really at play here? Where are they involved in all of this? How much do they really own? There is a gap right now-- a gap in the market, but it’s also a political gap. People are looking at just what Bush is doing, but they don't understand the full dynamic. They don't understand how FOREIGN POLICY, domestic policy and what's happening to the unions are all one process. The people at the top of the country -- the people on Wall Street, in Europe, in the White House, in the Royal Palace, the people in the big banks -- know it's one process. The falling rate of profit is what is pushing it.

Neo-liberalism is designed to increase private companies' profits, and to drive down the welfare state, government spending and working class incomes. And that is happening because economic conditions are getting worse for them. The rate of profit fell all over the industrial world in the 1970s and has not since been restored.

More firms are going bust, which leads to increased competition between corporations, national economies and regional economies. And inequality of every kind gets worse. That is not just a crisis for us, it is a crisis for the people who run the corporations. They are all scared that they will go under, so they compete, but they also attack working people more viciously.

Anti-Americanism is on the rise.

People watch what's happening in Abu Ghraib or Fallujah and think, "It's the Americans." This is causing a wave of “nationalism” (which will help implement this One World Order). You can see it all over Europe, with the argument that the European Union (EU) would be a good counterweight to the US. You can see it in Palestinian leaders who are looking for alliances with the EU. You can see it in different ways with John Kerry.

There is a ruling class, and it is made up of human beings that are not solely from the USA. The Marxist method may seem that it is the best way to make sense of the world. The anti-war movement can fight on its heart, but it can't win without understanding. And there is much too little understanding at the moment. The way to win people is not to try to have an argument with what everyone else says and just point fingers, but to pull it together and make sense of it ALL as a whole: looking at the roots of domination and war from the beginning.

By crippling the USA, and with all the supposed “natural disasters’ going on in the USA a stage is being set up for a takeover which is trying to plunge us into the European standard of dictatorship. A One World Order ruled by only a few men at the top.

Some men have come to occupy positions in the World Society from which they can look down upon, so to speak, and by their decisions and banking power mightily affect the everyday worlds of ordinary men and women. They are not made by their jobs; they set up and break down jobs for thousands of others; they are not confined by simple family responsibilities; they can escape. They may live in many hotels and houses and traverse the world, but they are bound by no one community. What Jacob Burckhardt said of 'great men,' most Americans might well say of their elite: 'They are all that we are not.'

The power elite is composed of men whose positions enable them to transcend the ordinary environments of ordinary men and women; they are in positions to make decisions having major consequences. Whether they do or do not make such decisions is less important than the fact that they do occupy such pivotal positions: their failure to act, their failure to make decisions, is itself an act that is often of greater consequence than the decisions they do make. For they are in command of the major hierarchies and organizations of modern society. THEY RULE BIG CORPORATIONS. They run the machinery of the state and claim its prerogatives. They direct the military establishment. They occupy the strategic command posts of the social structure, in which are now centered the effective means of the power and the wealth and the celebrity which they enjoy. They run the banking system.

The power elite are not solitary rulers. Advisers and consultants, spokesmen and opinion-makers are often the captains of their higher thought and decision. Immediately below the elite are the professional politicians of the middle levels of power, in the Congress and in the pressure groups, as well as among the new and old upper classes of town and city and region. Mingling with them, in curious ways which we shall explore, are those professional celebrities who live by being continually displayed but are never, so long as they remain celebrities, displayed enough If such celebrities are not at the head of any dominating hierarchy, they do often have the power to distract the attention of the public or afford sensations to the masses, or, more directly, to gain the ear of those who do occupy positions of direct power. More or less unattached, as critics of morality and technicians of power, as spokesmen of God and creators of mass sensibility, such celebrities and consultants are part of the immediate scene in which the drama of the elite is enacted. But that drama itself is centered in the command posts of the major institutional hierarchies.

The economy-once a great scatter of small productive units in autonomous balance-has become dominated by two or three hundred giant corporations, administratively and politically interrelated, which together hold the keys to economic decisions.
The political order, once a decentralized set of several dozen states with a weak spinal cord, has become a centralized, executive establishment which has taken up into itself many powers previously scattered, and now enters into each and every crany of the social structure.

[High-resolution image ] A former employee of Liaoning Provincial Thrombosis Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine told The Epoch Times during a recent interview that the Sujiatun Concentration Camp in China was actually a part of a hospital. The concentration camp has engaged in taking organs from Falun Gong practitioners when they were still alive and selling the organs. Since 2001, the concentration camp has secretly detained approximately 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners, none of whom have been able to leave the camp alive. The hospital removed many kidneys, livers, and corneas from the practitioners. After the organ removal, the practitioners were thrown into an incinerator, which was converted from a boiler. Their ashes were dumped together with burned charcoal.

Organs from Three Quarters of the 6,000 People Were Removed
Those whose organs were removed were in various states of health. Because many of the victims were illegally detained, there was neither an arrest warrant nor identification as to who these people actually were. Often after their organs were removed, nobody claimed the bodies. Sometimes their bodies were picked up by crooks who pretended to be their family members.

About three-quarters of the 6,000 people died after their hearts, kidneys, corneas, or skin was removed; their bodies were then burned. This witness, whose family member participated in the removal of Falun Gong practitioners' organs, said that approximately 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners remain in the hospital. She was afraid that the authorities would kill all of them to destroy evidence.

The Liaoning Provincial Thrombosis Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine is located at 49 Xuesong Road, Sujiatun, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, China. It was the first hospital in China to specialize in the heart, the brain, and surrounding blood vessels. The hospital is composed of several organizations, including the Liaoning Traditional Chinese Medicine College Teaching Hospital and the Shenyang Thrombosis Treatment Center.

Concentration Camp Details
The hospital site is 21,087 square meters, with 17,564 square meters of building area. It employs 460 people in 24 departments and 20 specialized offices. Information from the Chinese government shows that the hospital was established in December 1988, and was formerly named the Shenyang Research Institute of Thrombosis and Liaoning Province Thrombosis Treatment Center of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine. In June 1998, it was renamed China Traditional Medicine Thrombosis Treatment Center.

The Chinese Business Morning View said in a story on July 4, 2004, that a farm worker died of abnormal causes in Sujiatun, Shenyang and was later cremated. The death certificate was provided by the Chinese Medicine Thrombosis Treatment Center in Sujiatun. The news caused a stir in China.

Epoch Times: Did the hospital's medical staff inside the concentration camp know about this?

Answer: This hospital has a small number of officials and some doctors involved secretively in the operation of organ harvesting. Some other staff in the hospital knew about this, but this is absolutely a taboo [to talk about]. They all are afraid of being killed or courting trouble, so they all avoid the issue. Only those highly trusted doctors could be chosen to be the surgeons for organ harvesting operations.

ET: Were Falun Gong practitioners alive when their organs were harvested? Did their families know about this?

Answer: Falun Gong practitioners who were imprisoned there came mostly from Dabei Prison, Masanjia Labor Camp, and other prisons in Shenyang, or they were Falun Gong practitioners arrested in parks or residential homes. Because they refused to denounce Falun Gong, they were arrested without formal warrants, and their families did not know their situation. Many did not even have their names [recorded]. In addition, since the Chinese authority exercises a policy of "not being responsible" for killing Falun Gong practitioners, the death of Falun Gong practitioners is not a very big issue for prisons. The Chinese Communist Party persecutes Falun Gong, [but] these medical personnel were told Falun Gong practitioners were facing death because they killed people, or they were sentenced to death because of crimes, or they had become insane from practicing Falun Gong.

Those Falun Gong practitioners whose organs were harvested came from several types.

Organs harvested from live bodies are worth far more than organs taken from dead bodies. Many Falun Gong practitioners were still alive when their organs were taken. After their organs were cut out, some of these people were thrown directly into the crematorium to be burnt, thus leaving no evidence. For some others, after their organs were stolen, the doctor sewed up the wound and asked the family or family representative to give a signature for cremation. Family members did not know at all that the dead had their organs taken out.

Furthermore, there were some healthy Falun Gong practitioners in prisons in other areas who were injected—without their knowledge—with psychoactive drugs that made their minds confused. They then were transferred to Sujiantun concentration camp to suffer further torture, till in the end their organs were harvested and their bodies were cremated in secret.

Among the Falun Gong practitioners whose organs were harvested, some were weak and some were healthy. Since most of them were illegally arrested, there were no arrest warrants or identification cards. After their organs were taken out while they were still alive, no one came to claim their bodies; or [sometimes] people using fake identities claimed their bodies.

None of these people have come out [of the concentration camp] alive; three-quarters of these 6,000 people have died, having their hearts, kidneys, retinas, and skins harvested and their bodies disposed of. I think now about 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners are still in this hospital, and I am afraid now that the authority will destroy all evidence and kill them.

Question: How did you know these things? Were you yourself a doctor involved in organ harvesting?

Answer: I worked at the Liaoning Provincial Thrombosis Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, Shenyang. This is exactly where this concentration camp is located. One of my family members was involved in the operation to harvest Falun Gong practitioners' organs. This has brought great pain to our family.

Question: Please tell us what you knew about.

Answer: From 2001, our hospital started to detain Falun Gong practitioners. At the beginning, these people were detained in the single-storey houses in the back yard of the hospital. Later, the hospital authorities demolished the single-storey houses, and it was unknown where in the hospital the Falun Gong practitioners were transferred. Many staff of the hospital discussed in private that these Falun Gong practitioners had been secretly transferred to the underground chambers of the hospital. According to some people working inside the hospital, the hospital has a huge system of secret underground chambers.

At the time when we went to work there, the person in charge of logistics and purchasing in the hospital said that the quantity of disposable sterile gloves used for operations and daily supplies that the hospital authorities asked to be purchased had increased dramatically. The logistics people estimated based on the scale of purchases at that time that there were at least 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners detained in this hospital.

These Falun Gong practitioners were not detained in the 4-story building under the in-patient department and administration at the front of the hospital, in order to keep the hospital staff from seeing them at all. We only occasionally saw Falun Gong practitioners being sent on a mobile intensive care bed to the first floor for physical examinations. These people were very weak. For the majority of the Falun Gong practitioners, nobody knew where they were being secretly kept. While they still did not know where these people were kept, some staff inquired to the hospital authorities about why so much food and so many sterile gloves and daily supplies were purchased. The hospital authorities said, "You only need to do your job well. There is no need for you to ask any other questions."

Starting in 2001, a family member of mine participated in organ-harvesting operations. My family member tried to keep me from knowing about this at the beginning. The hospital authorities selected doctors they trust in different aspects to perform the secretive operations. After a period of time, I found that my family member was in a lot pain, often had nightmares, and appeared panic-stricken. After repeated inquiries, this family member told me the truth. The leader of the hospital had asked my family member to participate in the organ harvesting operations on Falun Gong practitioners as early as 2001. It was 2003 when my family member confessed. A few years after, my family member felt so much pain from participating in this incident that it was impossible to continue with the evildoing. My family member decided to go abroad to get away from this matter.

My family member also told me: "you don't understand my suffering; those Falun Gong practitioners were alive. It might be easier for me if they were dead, but they were alive."

Question: Were there any other doctors from the hospital taking part in the operations of cutting out Falun Gong practitioners' organs?

Answer: I know there were some. All these things have been carried out secretly. Many doctors at our hospital involved were practicum doctors transferred from other hospitals. Because the government does not want to be responsible for Falun Gong practitioners' bodies and lives, their lives are treated as garbage by the regime, and their bodies were used in experiments by new doctors doing their practitcums.

Many doctors came and left the hospital because they suffered a lot after having been involved in these kinds of things. They either requested to be transferred to other places, or changed their names. Some might have been killed to eliminate the evidence, their identity files were taken out from the hospital's filing system, or their names were changed. Nobody knows where the doctors have gone.

The hospital staff all know that the rear part of the hospital is forbidden. It is always watched. The staff avoids talking about the place.

Question: It is said the hospital is equipped with an incinerator. The person whose organs were removed will be burned when he or she is still alive. Is that true?

Answer: The employees in our hospital call this place "the incinerator." Actually, it is a boiler room. Some poor farmers from nearby places were hired to work in the boiler room. They were penniless when they first came here. But they could scrape up some watches, finger rings, necklaces, and so on. The amount is not small. It is said by the employees in the hospital these jewelry and watches were collected from the Falun Gong practitioners whose organs had been removed when they were about to be thrown in the boiler to be burned. It is also said by the employees in the hospital, some were still alive when being thrown into the boiler.

Question: Do they get injection of anesthetic when in surgery?

Answer: Yes. There is a cap to the anesthetic quantity used in mainland China's hospitals. Generally, the supply of anesthetic was determined according to the accommodation of the hospital. To the public, the number of patients in our care appears to be very small, and publicly reported number of surgical procedures performed is quite low. But the equipment and articles used in surgery are abundant. Because the amount of anesthetic is limited, these secret surgeries could not use the normal anesthetic doses. In order to save anesthetic, they economized on the anesthetic used in surgeries on these Falun Gong practitioners. The amount of anesthetic used was very small. However, many whose organs were removed were still alive. You can imagine the pain suffered by the Falun Gong practitioners whose organs were removed.

Question: Are there any survivors among the 6,000 people detained since 2001?

Answer: Nobody has come out alive. The number of them gets smaller and smaller. The Falun Gong practitioners detained at Sujiatun are fewer now than before. But I believe that the sin of removing the organs of the Falun Gong practitioners is still continuing.

Question: Where are these organs usually sold to? Do the higher authorities in the government know about this?

Answer: They are mainly sold to Thailand, but I believe they are also sold to other regions of the world. Nowadays, there are many patients in China who need human skin, corneas, and kidneys for organ transplant surgeries. Many patients have to wait in line to purchase organs. Currently, a kidney can be sold up to the price of 30,000 to 100,000 U.S. dollars. The profit from selling organs is simply too great. The people who benefit from this are not only the top leaders of hospital and the officials of the Chinese Communist Party's Heath Department. This is a crime present across the entire nation. People ranging from government officials to doctors to organ sellers are all involved in this and are profiting greatly.

Question: Why did they target Falun Gong practitioners as the source of organs?

Answer: Because relatives of many Falun Gong practitioners don't even know that their family members were arrested. So if the Falun Gong practitioners are killed, there will be no one to come and claim their dead bodies.

Question: Why did you want to expose this? This may bring great danger to you.

Answer: I know that there are many Falun Gong practitioners who are currently detained at the hospital. I would like to expose this to the international community, so those who are not yet killed can be saved. Also, I would like to expose this as an atonement for my family.

I am not a Falun Gong practitioner. But as a former staff member of the hospital, I have the responsibility to expose the truth, and let the world to save those Falun Gong practitioners who are still alive. Organs of some Falun Gong practitioners are still living on patients' bodies. I would like to call on all society to pay attention to this issue and stop this shocking crime.

maybe y'all know about it already, but in case you don't, i think it's a good idea to read it. This is the book given to Freemasons upon their 33rd degree initiation, and supposedly many of our presidents have read it. The very least we can do is to know what "they" know.

Since i'll never be a Freemason the closest i can come is to study in secret parallel. Why do you suppose so few women pursue information like this? Simply because organizations like Freemasonry are Brotherhoods and all U.S. presidents are men? Or is it just uncommon for a woman to be interested or aggressive enough to poke her nose into King Solomon's archives?

I haven't listened to it yet, but I've been wondering for a long time if Jones would ever interview Maxwell. When you become a thirty third mason this book is given to you to read, it claims to have all the truths of the world, I ’ve read it and can say it make a lot of sense, it make a lot of the question about history disappear, I feel much more clear headed, this is a book for a private club of rich people who run the world.
This is something you should be aware of.
It truly is, a sad and beautiful world.
But if it ends like the book says then well it was great knowing you …

Dear Members of the Commission:

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on docket number 04-5027, the Granite Fox Power LLC Application under the Nevada Utility Environmental Protection Act. As you may be aware, our group has been active in issues that pertain to the economic and environmental well being of the North West Great Basin area. We have members in three states who live in this tri-state area as well as many members who visit the area regularly.

We are concerned because Granite Fox Power LLC has conducted no public feasibility studies or environmental analyses to date. We believe strongly that to permit this project prior to assessing air quality, water quantity and quality and impacts to the local area is to put the cart before the horse. We believe the following issues should be thoroughly analyzed before any permits are granted.

Air Quality:
· Wilderness areas, refuges and areas of critical environmental concern are located in close proximity to the proposed site.
· The plume from the plant will impact potentially hundreds of square miles of an area that is known for its high air quality.
· We see no analysis of the potential for toxic chemicals and heavy metals to impact air quality, yet this industry has widely varying pollutant potential depending on the technology used. There is no discussion of the rationale for what technology will be employed here.
· Drawdown of the aquifer by pumping the amounts of water necessary to run a plant of this size will impact phreatophyte growth in the basin. This will cause additional particulate matter to become airborne and further degrade air quality.
· Tourist values are dependent in part on the pristine air quality that allows visibility for vast distances. The impacts to air quality will impact the tourist economy of a very large region.
Water quality:
· Coal and the chemicals associated with coal power production, can leach into the groundwater basin and contaminate the aquifer. There is no discussion of mitigation to prevent damage water, to a very limited resource in Nevada.
Water quantity:
· There is no discussion of the availability of groundwater in amounts great enough to supply such a venture. We find this to be a fatal flaw in this application. In an arid state like Nevada, water availability must be determined prior to the issuance of any permits. As there is no evidence of a power shortage in Nevada at this time, we feel the squandering of Nevada’s most important resource, water, to build an un-needed power plant would be both negligent and criminal.
· Nevada has a high incidence of unique aquatic life that has evolved in isolated springs. No studies have been conducted by Granite Fox Power LLC to determine the presence of rare aquatic species in springs that would be impacted by the amount of water needed.
Hazardous waste:
· There is no discussion of the mitigation that would be necessary to safely handle, ship, and store the hazardous wastes that would be needed and generated by such a facility. Again, to issue a permit prior to this important consideration would be negligent.
· There is no provision for the costs incurred by local and regional government in providing emergency and/or hazardous waste clean-up assistance.
Fire protection:
· Gerlach has an all volunteer fire department. There is no worst-case analysis of fire occurrence, or provisions for containment and control should an industrial fire occur, such as happened in recent memory at the Steamboat plant south of Reno. To expect an all volunteer fire department to protect the area from industrial fires is ludicrous.
· There is no provision for the costs incurred by local and regional government in providing emergency assistance in case of industrial fire.
Failure of the Application to Summarize the Environmental Studies:
· N.R.S. 704.870(2)(a) requires the applicant to provide a summary of the environmental studies that will be conducted in conjunction with the planning for the plant. The applicant has failed to include any such summaries but relies on environmental evaluation that will be accomplished by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management in conjunction with a right of way grant the applicant is seeking. This does not provide sufficient notice of the type and level of environmental analysis the applicant will provide.
Alternatives:
· The applicant has not provided project alternatives as required for informed decision making.
View-shed:
· The applicant has failed to account for the impacts to the viewshed of both federal and state lands, as required.
Economy:
· The applicant has not discussed or analyzed impacts, either negative or positive to the economy of the area.

We respectfully request that you require the applicant to remedy these oversights in the permitting process before proceeding with the permit. We request that these comments be placed in the permanent record of these proceedings and that our group be advised of any proceedings in time to make informed comments.

The application is for the connection facilities to tie the Power Plant to the DC Transmission line. We have until September 22 to send comments to the Commission on the application. Please see the comments below that I will be making through my attorney, Mike Van Zandt, for an outline of some of the important issues. I hope that many of you will be able to send in comments.

COMMENT POINTS RE: GRANITE FOX POWER LLC APPLICATION-- NEVADA UTILITY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ACT—DOCKET NO. 04-5027

Air Quality. The area of Washoe County is in attainment for all of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards. In the past Washoe County has experienced non attainment for ozone, particulates and carbon monoxide. The contributions of a coal fired electric power generating plant in Washoe County has the potential to cause increased non attainment days and potentially no attainment status for air quality standards in several categories. Since Washoe County is now in attainment status, the requirements of the Clean Air Act with regard to prevention of significant degradation (“PSD”) of the current air quality status must be addressed. Finally, there are some extremely sensitive areas in close proximity to the proposed plant location that will be affected by air pollutants. Among these are wilderness areas, refuges and sensitive habitat enclaves. It is vitally important that any potential impacts from the plant on these sensitive areas be carefully evaluated.
Water Quality. Coal fired power plants can contribute to water quality degradation in several ways. First, the storage of the coal itself has the potential to contaminate groundwater and surface water through the leaching of metals, sulfuric acid and other contaminants if they are not controlled. Second, the plant itself must capture pollutants from its smoke stacks by using air pollution control technology, including the use of scrubbers that use large amounts of water. This water contains pollutants, is acidic and has the potential, if not managed properly to infiltrate to the groundwater, contaminating the underlying aquifers. Third, the use of water within the facility for equipment maintenance will generate wastewater that will have to be captured and treated or it too could escape into the aquifers.
Water Resources. Water resources in Nevada are scarce and precious. The amount of water that will be required to operate this plant is unknown but it may require tens of thousands of acre feet of water annually. It is unknown at this time what source or sources of water have been or will be procured for this plant. More importantly, it is unknown what impacts the use of water by the plant will have on prior appropriators, surface water, groundwater, and the ability to recharge the aquifers. All of these issues must be carefully analyzed.
Biological Resources. The plant will be located near areas where there are sensitive biological resources, including those within refuges, wilderness areas, National Forest and other sensitive habitats. Because of the potential degradation of the surrounding environment caused by air pollution, water pollution, reduction of groundwater, generation of solid and hazardous waste, the impact on these biological resources could be devastating.
Waste Generation. The construction and operation of the plant will generate large amounts of solid and hazardous waste, which must be managed. The capacity of Washoe County to manage the significant increase in waste from this plant must be carefully evaluated. Moreover, the ability of the county to oversee this waste generation and to ensure it is properly managed, stored, treated and disposed is crucial.
Hazardous Materials Management. The construction and operation of this plant will require the onsite storage and use of a variety of hazardous chemicals and materials. The existence of these materials will require a sophisticated hazardous materials management plan and associated emergency and contingency plans. The County will have a significant role in ensuring that the plant properly manages its hazardous materials and has prepared appropriate emergency and contingency plans. Training plans for plant workers and county personnel must be developed to deal with both normal management and emergency situations. The cost to the county taxpayers for these increased responsibilities must be weighed as well.
Noise. The existing ambient noise environment will be impacted from both the construction and operation of the plant. Noise has a fatiguing effect on humans and the wildlife that exists near the plant may be adversely impacted by loud noises. Truck traffic will also add to the ambient noise environment. Noise generation from the plant itself must be mitigated and controlled and hours of operation for truck traffic should be set.
Transportation. The existence of an industrial facility near Highway 447 will generate a significant amount a traffic near the site. The impacts of this traffic, especially during construction, must be evaluated to ensure that the existing road bed and handle the traffic and that congestion and inordinate delays are not caused by the existence of the plant.
Power Needs. Since the plant will be intertied to an existing power transmission line and the power will be exported from Nevada, it is important that the needs of the citizens of Nevada be considered first. If this power plant is not needed for Nevada, then the question must be asked is this the appropriate place for a new power plant. Do the benefits of this new plant outweigh the detriments it will cause on the Washoe County environment? Should the citizens of Nevada bear the burden of the plant without any of its benefits? Are the jobs the plant creates worth the other impacts on environmental quality, quality of life and increased costs to the County?
Local Economy Impacts. There are positive and negative impacts from the plant on the local economy. First, there will be impacts from construction jobs. Some of these may be local hires but other workers will be brought from out of the local area. The purchase of supplies from local merchants during construction may also help the local economy. Second, there will be longer-term jobs for the operation and maintenance of the plant. These jobs will contribute to the local economy. On the other hand, the use of the natural resources, air and water will be committed to this plant for an indefinite time. The taxpayers will be required to provide police and fire protections for the plant and the county will be required to inspect and oversee the hazardous activities inside the plant. Generation of waste water and solid and hazardous waste may create and issue of the county’s ability to store, treat and dispose of such wastes.

The alternative analysis should also consider other approaches within the plant for management of waste and water, as well as advanced technologies for air pollution.

Does anyone know the significance of Albertus Magnus on the founding of the Masons? or Freemasons? I know he wrote a book called The Book of Secrets but what is the significance? I looked in the college library and there are a lot of books by him but mostly they are in Latin.Thanks for the help.

Ah wuz a little loaded when ah picked mah VP so ah picked 2 of 'em. Dixie de la Tour and Jerry Lee Lewis have boat agreed to be Vice President. They'll jess have to wrassle each utha. The loser gets to run the Food and Drug Administration. Squeeky Wheel would make a great Secretary of Da Fence.

Ah don't need enny campaign contributions. Afta all, ah'm rich. Mostly ah jess need y'all to brang chicks and drugs to mah campaign rallys. That'll brang lotsa other supporters. It'll all grow from there.

Mah whole plan (platform) boils down to:
Make love, not war.
Make crystal meth, not Pentium chips.
More medication, more fornication.
Less taxation, less privatization.
Brief and to the point, yew kin all remember that.
